A cautionary tale today, if you are thinking about becoming a published author to generate leads and business then please please please don’t be the 99.9%.

I’ve have had the privilege of helping my clients print, publish and promote their books over the past 10 + years.

Over time, I have experienced the highs and lows with authors.

The clear frustration that most will fail because they simply don’t know how to market themselves.

Yes, there are no quick fixes and yes, you will have to dig your hand in your pocket.

I’m afraid that is the harsh reality…

Most authors that I deal with are business minded and understand the business world but most still aren’t willing to give their book the promotion it deserves.


Confidence, maybe?

The belief that their book might expose the truths, they can talk the talk but not walk the walk.

I’m still not sure.

However, the ones who do step over the white line, so to speak, the ones who are brave enough to put their head above the parapet are the ones who normally favour fortune.


Because they have a plan,

Dare I say, a strategy…

Annoying as it may sound but the authors who actually plan ahead and set aside time and a budget are the ones who normally succeed.

Don’t be the 99.9%.

The most successful published authors start to market their book 6 months in advance of the publication date.
